Some Facts behind Face the Facts USA

Face the Facts USA released 204 facts between July 2012 and March 2013. Here’s a look behind the scenes as we take a hiatus from daily facts.

Over eight months, from July 30, 2012 to March 30, 2013, Face the Facts USA released 204 “fresh, hot facts” to help you look at America’s biggest policy challenges in new ways. We launched Face the Facts USA 100 days before Election Day 2012.

In the eight months that followed:

We provided ten categories of facts, including 22 facts about Debt and Deficit; 38 facts about Jobs & Economy; 22 facts about National Security; and 33 facts on Life in America.

We found our most popular fact is Tax Code Complexity. As of March 30 it’s received 119 comments, 763 Facebook “likes,” and 359 Twitter shares.

We collaborated with Arizona State University and the University of Southern California. We’re grateful to the 20 George Washington University students who contributed to facts and videos.
