The George Washington University

Team leader Dara Padwo-Audick is a veteran filmmaker and producer with more than 25 years of experience who is taking her George Washington University students to new levels of storytelling. Shes written, produced and directed programs and series for Animal Planet, CBS, Discovery Channel, ESPN, FOX, Lifetime Television, and PBS. Dara co-founded the Foundation for Global Inspiration.

  • Lorrie Batton is a registered nurse with a masters degree in public health who recently completed a graduate certificate in documentary filmmaking.
  • Stacie Buell is a junior at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, majoring in political communications and fine arts.
  • Deanne Canieso is an aspiring documentary filmmaker earning her masters degree in media and public affairs from GWU.
  • John Dillon has earned a graduate degree in documentary filmmaking from GWU. As an undergraduate at San Francisco State University he produced a documentary on healthcare in Honduras.
  • Brian Jenkins is studying documentary filmmaking at GWU and worked in politics in Massachusetts.
  • Bailey Mohr is a GWU sophomore majoring in political communication and a multimedia reporter for the student newspaper, The Hatchet.
