Memo to the Candidates: Time to Step Up

A Face the Facts USA Special Event

Monday, October 29, 2012 -- 7:00PM
The George Washington University
Jack Morton Auditorium
805 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC 20052

You’ve seen the campaigns. You’ve watched the debates. You’ve heard the candidates make their cases. Now, it’s your turn. It’s Decision Time.  And, the political stakes couldn’t be higher.

Just a week before Election Day, Frank Sesno convenes a top-flight panel of political experts, thinkers and reporters. The big questions - Have the candidates given us the hard facts as we get ready to elect our next president? Who can get the economy roaring again? What about debt and deficit? Are we going to fall off a fiscal cliff? What about Medicare? Will your taxes be cut or raised? Major questions require urgent attention.

Moderated by Frank Sesno, former CNN Washington bureau chief and Director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University, the panel will feature:

Former Senator Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska)

Mara Liasson, National Political Correspondent, NPR

Michael Smerconish, Host, The Michael Smerconish Show, and MSNBC Political Analyst.

David Walker, Former U.S. Comptroller General and Founder, Comeback America

Amy Walter, Political Director, ABC News

The discussion will include interactive audience participation and will be shot for TV and aired nationwide on RL.TV after the event. Admission is free.
